At Clearhaven Recovery, many of our team members are in recovery themselves. We offer compassionate care because we understand how challenging it can be to break free from the cycle of substance abuse. During intake, our participants go through an initial assessment. At this time we’ll determine what therapies and treatment modalities will work best for their needs.
We use evidence-based therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing alongside holistic approaches to treatment such as yoga and meditation. For individuals struggling with alcohol or opioid addiction, we also offer medication-assisted treatment. While no medications can cure addiction, some FDA-approved medications can curb cravings and relieve withdrawal symptoms
We offer a variety of treatment programs to meet the needs of our unique participants.
Our partial hospitalization program is the highest level of treatment that we offer in our center. Participants in this program live at home but spend days in our recovery center participating in therapy sessions, receiving medical treatment, and working on their recovery. This program is ideal for those who have been through detox and are ready to rebuild their lives.
Our most flexible treatment option for clients with additional obligations which makes full time or residential treatment challenging. IOP includes half day clinical programing which can be completed mornings, afternoons or evenings.
After our partial hospitalization program, we offer intensive outpatient programs designed to fit the lifestyles of our participants. If you or your loved one has responsibilities to take care of at work or at school, choosing our night intensive outpatient programs allows them the flexibility to take care of these obligations.
Our IOPs offer ongoing support for those who have been sober for a period of time and who are ready for more independence. Participants in these programs still participate in individual and group therapy, where they work on relapse prevention and healthy coping skills.
Medical Detox is often the first step on the road to recovery. At Clearhaven we partner with several first-class detox centers throughout New England and are able to quickly facilitate admission without the waits or hassles—as well as provide transportation in most cases.

Each client is seen 2x/week by our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to meet any medical or prescription management needs while in treatment.
Each client is seen weekly by a dedicated case manager. Clients who have needs outside of recovery are provided with assistance with life skills, job search, FMLA, PFMLA, managing outside appointments and many other additional concerns.
Often approaching a loved one who is struggling in the grips of alcoholism or addiction can be challenging and worrisome. Our professional family focused interventionists specialize in compassionate yet direct interventions that will help to educate and support a family as they hold boundaries and assist their loved ones to make smart healthy decisions.
Men and women have different needs in treatment. In our men’s rehab program, group sessions are single-gender, and our participants go through individual therapy sessions with experienced therapists. This supportive environment can help men who are working to overcome addiction feel more comfortable opening up.
